Sudbury Performance Group’s NOVA Program is bringing Alice by Heart to stage!
A one act, 90-minute musical, inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Set during the London Blitz of WWII, Alice takes shelter in an underground tube station where she finds her childhood best friend has contracted tuberculosis.
Alice encourages him to step away from reality and join her in their favourite story: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Other people taking refuge in the tube station become characters from the book, and Alice goes on a journey of grief, love, and self discovery.
From the Tony® and Grammy® award-winning creators of Spring Awakening, Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, and co-written by Jessie Nelson (Waitress).
NOTE: Show contains loud noises and smoking, and subjects of war, death, and body image.

NOVA (Nurturing Our Voices in the Arts) is an inclusive and accessible youth theatre program to develop emerging actors, creatives, and production team members. We promote theatre for people of all ages and abilities in the community.
